We have added another layer of security for your account in order to prevent unauthorized logins. This feature is particularly recommended for business accounts.
What is IP (Known as IP address)?
It is a numerical label which is assigned to each device connected to a computer network which uses the IP for communication and acts as an identifier for a specific machine on a particular network.
There are two types of protocols:
Wittix is able to support both protocols, so it doesn't matter if you have IPv4 / IPv6, you just have to check with your ISP (Internet Service Provider) that your IP address is consistent and not changing every period or with every connection.
In the case that you have a consistent IP Address, you can authorise your IP address by navigating to Profile Tab -> Account Settings -> Security Settings -> Additional Security Measures and you will be able to see your “Last Login IPs” table listing all your recent IP addresses that you logged in with. Then you can simply whitelist by selecting them. You have the further option to give name for every IP Address.
You can choose which IP’s you would like to whitelisted like your personal home network, work and all other access outside those networks will be denied.
Please note: By activating this feature you will lose the ability to connect your account from your mobile, as IP in mobiles are changing very often.
